What is that you need to know about me? 

What would I want to know about me if I was searching for someone to come alongside me in a time of need, to enter into my world and walk with me in an intentional way? 

I love Christ, his Church and God’s supernatural Word.  I’ve been a part of God’s church my whole life; 53 years and counting.  I love my wife and my children; they are God’s gift to me.  I believe in covenant marriage and “…training children in the way they should go.”  Linda and I’ve been married for 30 years and have 3 children; Jacob, Rachel and Caleb. We are in the throes of the “young adult years” where parenting is more like coaching and the nest is beginning to empty.  And we’re learning all the time. 

I believe God’s promises are true.  We’ve truly been given everything we need for life and godliness.  We’re all just “cracked pots” letting the light of Christ shine through.  I believe in the person and the work of the Holy Spirit; sent to us by Jesus himself, wow!  I believe that relationship is the vehicle of discipleship, modeled by Jesus himself, giving shape to my counseling philosophy and methodology.  And the name of my ministry!

And for over 30 years of pastoral ministry, in a variety of contexts, I’ve had a front row seat to person and work of the Holy Spirit to heal hurts, habits and hang ups, to transform lives, to reconcile marriages and broken relationships, to proclaim release to the captives, to see prodigals return, to give meaning, purpose and direction to life; in a word, to give hope.  And hope is a good thing.
